Are you also crazy about flowers? Natur is just amazing. I had this class in my mind for some time. AND FINALLY, I HAVE STARTED FILMING! So lets paint bold flowers in acrylics together!
I have always wanted to paint an interpretation of a garden onto the canvas! We will be painting in acrylics, starting rather abstract and moving slowly into shapes, flowers, and leaves. Stopping the process of becoming realistic just at the moment we want to.
It is a perfect subject to study colors, naturals, focal points, or how to create a rhyme in your painting.

Getting inspired
There is nothing like a stroll in the garden or in a park to get inspired, but even in winter, a visit to the garden center can be amazing. Let’s get inspired to paint flowers in acrylics.
I went last week to my favorite garden center (Schilliger in Gland) I was researching the different shapes of leaves as an inspiration for the first part of the class.
Everything about colors
Did you know that placing a natural next to a bright color really brings the saturated color out and gives the whole painting a gentle look? I personally paint very colorfully but I do not want my painting to look like they are ‘screaming’ I have put a lot of time into studying colors and how to associate them.
How to symplify shapes of flowers and leaves
We will also do some exercises to get away from realist shapes but simply create some abstract botanical shapes practicing the color theories: Colorfamilies – Naturals – Colorbridges – values and much more.

After a good preparation, we will move on to the CANVAS and plan our project
